Homeless people are just human beings like you and me, with the same feelings. They laugh and cry as we do, but… Imagine the pain they feel on a winter’s night. They are frozen in the biting winter wind; there is no home to return to. They sense the excitement as Christmas lights illuminate the streets. This Christmas, they will not laugh but cry out in hopeless despair.

Thankfully, the Providence Rescue Mission is here to help to give them a place to call home. We have been here all year, open every day because homelessness doesn’t just strike in December. We treat our guests with dignity, compassion and we show them the love of Jesus Christ. We give them a warm meal, a hot shower, a safe place to stay, and teach them the meaning of Christmas.

Your gift provides them with the shelter to keep them off the street, the food they need to eat, and a gift on Christmas.

As you reflect on what Christmas means to you and your family, please be generous by partnering with us. As you consider those whose reflections might not be quite so bright, be their light this season.

Providence Rescue Mission

Serving Christ.. Serving the Homeless & Poor of Our Community since 1999.

Homeless people are just human beings like you and I, with the same feelings. They laugh and cry just like we do, but… Imagine the pain they feel on a Winters night. They are frozen in the biting winter wind, there is no home to return to. They sense the excitement as Christmas lights illuminate the streets; they have no money for food. They need to be cared for, but often have no loved ones. This Christmas they will not laugh but cry out in pain victims of hopeless despair. It means hunger for the warmth of compassion and restoration of hope.

Thankfully, the Providence Rescue Mission is here to help. We have been here all year, open every day because homelessness doesn’t just strike in December.  We treat our guests with dignity, compassion and we show them the love of Jesus Christ. We give them a warm meal, a hot shower and a safe place to stay.

Your gift provides them with the shelter to keep them off the street and the food then need to eat. Jesus didn’t just talk about love, by His examples he demonstrated what it means to love.

As, you reflect on what the Holidays mean to you and your family or friends, please be generous in remembering those whose reflections might not be quite so bright-be their light this season.
